Our review of the year

1. Bremen’s artificial intelligence industry at a glance

We started with a broad overview, looking at which companies and institutions are currently working in the field of AI? Research activities in Bremen are focused on robotics incorporating AI. There is also a lot going on with classic machine learning: Overview of AI in Bremen

what is artificial intelligence?

2. What is artificial intelligence?

It is certainly not easy to explain what is meant by artificial intelligence. After all, it is a collective term that encompasses many different technologies. We have put together an article to provide some answers: What is AI? (German)

3. What is a neural network?

In any discussion about AI, neural networks will probably be mentioned at some point. This incredibly important technology is already in use in image, voice and video recognition, and offers huge economic potential for the future. But what exactly do neural networks involve? What is a neural network?

4. How much AI do SMEs really need?

That is a good question. After all, when hype builds up around a new technology, disillusionment often comes hot on its heels. Is it worthwhile for small and medium-sized enterprises to invest in AI now or should they wait until turnkey solutions come onto the market? How much AI do SMEs need?

5. How Werder Bremen’s artificial intelligence is becoming established

What is the best way for companies to deploy AI? Should they develop it themselves or is it better to bring in experts? We spoke to an AI pioneer who equipped football team Werder Bremen with artificial intelligence that helps it scout for new talent. How Werder Bremen’s artificial intelligence is becoming established

6. Is there more to artificial intelligence than just hype?

Most likely yes, otherwise we would not be writing about it so much. But what is hype? And how do you know when it is over? We investigated this tricky subject. Is there more to artificial intelligence than just hype?
