There's just such an amazing variety of places to eat in Bremen's Überseestadt (New Harbour District). Come with us on a voyage of discovery through the cuisines of this neighbourhood.

From the typical German “currywurst” to the finest Syrian delicacies: the culinary environment of Bremen's Überseestadt is characterised by its astounding variety. As it's easy to lose a sense of perspective when confronted with so many delicious options and be unable to see the wood for the trees, we've drawn up a list of (hopefully) all the restaurants, food trucks, cafés and bistros in Bremen's newest city district.

Have we missed a gastronomic hotspot? Oh my! We're sorry about that! It looks like we were distracted by our rumbling tummies and the thought of mouth-watering delicacies when we put this list together. However, to ensure no-one loses their appetite, we'd be glad to hear from you: please send us a message at service@ueberseestadt.de.

Italy, Greece, Turkey: Diners at the restaurant Elisa can enjoy a gastronomic journey through these three countries. This establishment opened its doors in October 2015 and has been a jewel in the crown of the Überseestadt´s dining locations ever since.

Mediterranean hospitality in a North German harbour basin. That's what the restaurant Feuerwache offers its guests. Italian specialities are served up morning, noon and evening (and for brunch on Sunday) in historic surroundings with views onto the former wood and factories harbour.

Dedicated followers of Italian cuisine will find themselves right at home at "Mezzodí". The restaurant's menu changes every day, offering its visitors midday meals, fresh panini, croissants, speciality coffees and a wide range of refreshing Italian soft drinks.

Port restaurant in the Speicher XI

The dishes include Italian and Southern French delicacies, Mediterranean seafood specialities and freshly prepared pasta. The lunch menu changes every week and is open for brunch on Sundays.

Fresh, vibrant and uncomplicated: the restaurant VAIVAI in the Weser district offers rustic Italian dishes served up in an industrial urban setting. It is the ideal place for gazing at the river on mild summer evenings.

Tastes of Asia

Restaurant, bar and lounge: The CHILLI CLUB weaves together three culinary traditions under one roof close to the Weser Tower. From midday to late evening, the restaurant delights diners with contemporary Asian cuisine: from sushi to saté.

Serving authentic Asian cuisine to its customers is Jaya's proudly stated aim. Located directly on the “Europahafen” promenade, Jaya attracts curry fans from far and wide with its deliciously spiced Asian Street Kitchen cuisine.

Phở Việt

Although this restaurant's name isn't the easiest for everyone to pronounce, guests will be delighted in discovering Vietnamese delicacies on the site of the former Kellogg factory in the heart of the Überseestadt. A voyage of discovery, for eyes and tastebuds alike.
