The Mercedes-Benz plant Bremen: technological knowledge and international experience
The Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen is the area’s biggest private employer with more than 12,500 employees and one of the largest production facilities within the Daimler group. More than 7 million Mercedes-Benz passenger cars have been built in Bremen since 1978.
10 different models are currently manufactured at the plant in Bremen: the C-Class model range with Sedan, Estate, Coupé and Cabriolet, the GLC and GLC Coupé as well as the E-Class (Coupé and Cabriolet) and the two Roadsters SLC and SL.
As global lead plant of the C-Class, Bremen directs the worldwide production of the highest-volume model series in the plants abroad (USA, China and South Africa). Since 2015, the Bremen plant has also served as the main production location for the GLC, managing the respective manufacturing activities within the global production network.
