The institutes also set special accents in research and development, including the Institute for Wind Energy fk-wind:.
The Institute of Wind Energy fk-wind: at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences carries out third-party research projects in the field of on- and offshore wind energy together with industry under the motto “to understand the wind turbine as a whole”. Research, teaching and application are combined in an optimal way. Results and experience are transferred by fk-wind: into the study courses, wind energy colloquia and further education. Examples in the field of research are simulation of structures, monitoring of loads and external conditions, cold climate operation and the optimization of old wind turbines.
