Seamen’s Mission of Bremen

The Seamen’s Home

The Seamen’s Home provides every sailor with a home far from home – irrespective of his origins, culture, colour of skin or religion. We provide simple and comfortable rooms with modern furnishings at favorable prices close to the city centre.

The Seamen’s Club

The Bremen Seamen’s Club is the focal point of our home. During the day it is the meeting place for our house guests, for seamen from the harbours, their families and their “ex’s” living in Bremen and surroundings. In the evening, the seamen’s club becomes a lively, international meeting place. Here seamen from all corners of the world meet for billiards, beer, music and games. They exchange news and phone home to India and Russia, to China or the Phillippines. There is space for personal conversation and an inter-religious chapel provides a space for peace, meditation, and spiritual reflection.
