Where the world revolves around the container
GCG has been providing “box” services such as loading, storage, special construction, repairs, trade and leasing for over 30 years. Full and empty containers are handled at ports, rail terminals or HGV loading stations. Using special trains, containers are dispatched from Bremen to Hamburg and back again. Over 11,000 railway carriages are handled every year through the railway connection. The packing station specializes in the loading of steel products. In order to ensure loading can be carried out in any weather conditions, part of the rail terminal is covered. Here, 200,000 tonnes can be loaded every year. In addition, there is another rail-accessible warehouse where general cargo can be handled and stored. The container depot has a storage capacity of 10,000 TEU and there is also a 2,700 mC warehouse for container repair. Furthermore, GCG trades and leases used and new containers and all types of office containers and special equipment.
